"Moored in the Marina" 8x8 oil on panel

Point Bay Marina where we dock our boat is in a lovely little harbor with the Green Mountains off in the distance. I snapped the photo as we were coming home one evening. My first attempt at painting sailboats.

  1. I love your sailboats. This little painting has such a fresh sparkling feel to it... maybe the way it feels to actually sail!

  2. looking forward to seeing your figurative work from NYC...but I think you will miss the mountains and lake just a little bit...sailboats are lovely and loose...nice job

  4. The sailboat in the foreground looks alot like the Bella Rosa - the boat that we share with our good friends, Doug & Renee. It has been in the mooring field for a few years and is on the end closest to the fuel dock at Point Bay. We are thrilled to think that our boat might have been an inspiration for this wonderful painting...
